Your contributions will help us make lasting improvements in both our workforce and patient outcomes. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) serves as the senior HR executive for a decentralized organizational structure, responsible for leading human capital strategy across multiple independent or semi-autonomous business units or locations. In collaboration with site-level HR leaders and corporate HR, the CHRO ensures alignment between local needs and enterprise-wide goals, focusing on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, employee/labor relations, and regulatory compliance. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is part of the executive leadership team and reports directly to the Corporate Senior Vice President of Human Resources. A dual reporting relationship is designed to ensure alignment between system-wide human resources strategy and local operational execution. In this model, the hospital’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) reports directly to the Corporate Senior Vice President of Human Resources for strategic direction, policy compliance, and enterprise-wide consistency, while maintaining a dotted-line relationship to the Hospital Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to support local leadership, operational priorities, and workforce needs.

Education:

  • Master's degree required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience required, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role within a decentralized or matrixed environment.
  • Healthcare or hospital system experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulatory standards, and labor relations.
  • SPHR-SHRM SCP or equivalent certification preferred.
